Bodhjung H.S. School was established in 1945 and it is managed by the Department of Education, Government of Tripura. It is located in North Banamalipur, under Agartala Municipal Corporation, West Tripura district of Tripura. The School offers courses from Class I (one) to Class 12th standard. The school is Co-educational from 1 to 5 and it doesn’t have an attached pre-primary section. In Higher Secondary level students have the facility to study in Arts stream, Science stream & Commerce Stream. In the year 2019, Vocational education was started with one trade (Electronics & Hardware) from class 9 to 12 under NSQF.
History : Bodhjung H.S. School is one of the oldest Government Schools of the state. It was established in 1945. But, the School initiated in the premises of the royal palace in the form of Thakur PalliPathsaladuring the reign of Maharaja Radha Kishore ManikyaBahadur in 1900 AD. Later the school was named after Rana Bodhjung Bahadur who was the Chief Secretary of Maharaja BirBikram Kishore ManikyaBahadhur. Many prominent personalities of the state pursued their education from this institution.
